Description
Cranberry red, double pom-pom flowers provide a breathtaking floral display in the garden from mid to late summer. Such a rare colour for an Echinacea! The fragrant flowers are long lasting and attract butterflies like a magnet.
Thrives in full sun or part shade. (Although can tolerate light shade too, but may not flower as well). Echinacea like average, dry to medium well drained soil. Remove spent flowers and stems to encourage further flowers. Benefits from a heavy mulch in the Winter (does not like to be too wet in Winter). We find planting them in pots also brings good success of them coming back each year. Grows to 16-18 inches, spread 16-22 inches. Grown in 1 ltr pot size.
With all new planting, please water in for the first few weeks until the plant becomes established in your garden border.
